Default alarm keeps going off

Hi, can anyone help. I have a A4 B8 Avant 2 days ago my alarm went off and kept going off at irregular intervals. have had a new battery fitted and taken all the fault codes off, same thing again, have now taken siren unit off in case it has a fault. still the same but without any noise now. will I need a new siren unit which I think is around the £80 mark from Audi.
cheers Keith

Try doing a system reset. Remove the negative and positive battery terminals. Touch them together for 10 seconds and then re-attach them.

hi. just to let people know, after having alarm problems for the last 2 weeks it is now fixed, the problem was a faulty breakage sensor in the rear window. you can either bypass the sensor or simply replace the rear window, job done.

Default alarm keeps going off

my A4 Avant b8 alarm has been going off randomly over the past few weeks. replaced the main battery and also the alarm sensor under the bonnet with no luck. same random problem. i now know the problem was a faulty rear breakage sensor in the rear tailgate window. you can either bypass the sensor or replace the rear window, no more alarm keep going off.
