Default B8 Clutch problem.

About a month ago I began to hear a squeak sound every time I would push in the clutch peddle. I took it to the dealership for a squirt of lube, but ended up leaving it for two days now to have the transmission removed and an unknown repair done. Has anyone else experienced this issue with their manual transmission in a 2010 A4? It only has 2450 miles on it. I think this will be my last Audi.

Do you believe having the tranny removed in a 2450 mile vehicle will cause issues in the future? Should I ask for a new vehicle?

Have a friend with an A5 that had the same problem and pretty much went through what you are going through now, but hasn't had a problem after they put his car back together.

I have a creaking (not really a squeak) coming from my clutch, but I am scared sh**less to take it to the dealer because I know they would probably do the same thing. I don't know if it is the same noise as yours, but it's not real prominent and I can't hear it when I am driving, so I will just deal with it unless it gets worse. I have 5,000 on my ride.

Why be scared if it is covered by warranty?

Could be a bad throw-out bearing. This was a issue with the 4.2 liter cars.

I was pretty upset about this, but the repair really did resolve the problem. The clutch engages smoother than before, and does so without a sound. Go for the repair.
