1) local dealer is quoting me $500 over invoice for any A4 on lot. Thats not too good...right?

2) He states the $1500 loyality program is only for people leasing thru Audi Financial? Is that correct?

Go to Edmunds.com, you should not be paying more than what it tells you there.

 

Dealers buy the cars at wholesale. At about $2000 below invoice. So even when they do sell cars at invoice, they are still making at least $2000 on the car. These numbers only apply to lower end vehicles such as Nissan. I know they use to get their $26,000 Altimas at $24,000. I'm sure $100,000 cars are obtained at least $5000 below invoice.

 

Prices are going from "invoice" to "invoice +500"... what if you ask dealer to throw in Audicare?

Bonus money is for returning AFS customers...

 

There really is no reliable way to know what a dealer has in a car but the invoice is not truly accurate. I agree with Piotrowr, go to Edmunds and see what the averages are running. Sounds like your dealer may be holding back a decent amount, so go beat him up a little more...

 

I was quoted $100 over invoice at Chapman Audi in Tucson....You can get invoice anywhere, dealers are dying for buyers.
