Default camshaft position sensor

Hello again. On the no start problem I am having. I pulled the trouble code and got 2113 camshaft position sensor. Any tests for the sensor before replacing it or anything related to the camshaft positionj?
Thanks in advance

Default RE: camshaft position sensor

camshaft position sensor (CMP)has a 3 pin multi plug,

checking the ground/earth

ensure ignition is off,
disconnects CMP multi-plug,
check resistance between pin 3 and ground,
resistance should be zero..

checking voltage supply

ensure ignition is off,
disconnects CMP multi-plug,
switch ignition on,
check voltage between pins 1 and 3,
voltage should be 9 V min..

signal checking

ensure ignition is off,
do not disconnect multi plug access pins from the back of the multi-plug,
connect LED test lamp between pins 1 and 2,
briefly crank the engine,
check the LED is flashing
