Is the harness a common problem on this engine?

not particularly, but if you've tried everything else, I am assuming that would be the next thing to check... Sounds like one of the wires going to your cyl 2 is busted, so no matter what, it's not firing...

can't rule that out, but usually, that will give you multiple random misfires, not a dead cylinder...

When I bought my car I was experiencing the same problems you are. It was only a misfire on #2. I replaced coils, plugs, then checked the coils with a volt meter and it didn't register anything. I was getting fed up and went to a local junk yard and bought a used ICM after some research and popped it in and it fixed the problem. It's worth a try, if it's not that then you can always return it and use the credit in the future. I don't remember why I didn't go to autozone or something, I think it was too expensive or they didn't have it.

Hope all works out for you, good luck!

^worth a shot I guess... It will at least rule it out as a possibility if it doesn't fix the problem...
