hey my 2000 A6 2.8 Quattro that I just got just turned the check engine light on.. so I did the right thing and went to Oreilly Auto and asked to use their scanner... take it out to my car and what do you know... the damn thing doesnt have the obd2 connector? it is under the dash on the left hand side its a 16 pin connector but the shape is different... do I have to find an audi/vw scanner or is there a different one.... someone please help me.... Im not an idiot and this isnt my first rodeo.... this is my first audi and I love it but its starting to **** me off....

 

Should be a standard obd connector, sometimes you have to push kinda hard to get it on. Are you sure you used the right connector with the READER, they often come with different connectors.

 

yeah I got it figured out.... the connectors dont look the same but the fit together... this is my first experience in the german auto world... they didnt look the same but the go together.... I feel like an idiot.... Thanks for replying!
