it is, and after the TB otherwise you wont get vacuum

Yeah "intake" is what I meant hahah..
I did install my boost gauge iirc.

Please disregard my question, it does not make much sense as it seems most people use a MBC rather than a digital one with display. Thus as long as you have your gauge hooked up to the IM all is well, as you can just turn the **** until the desired ammount of pressure is reached. (No discrepancies in readings).

i got few ?s, i installed mbc last week played with boost level for a little with no problems until I went up to just about 18-20…. i did order Bosch 4 Bar fpr should be here in a day or 2, 1st did I order right one or I need adjustable fpr? and 2nd - do I need anything else for running 20-22psi? oh btw I’m not chipped. and if I do run on 22psi where is this gonna take me… 215-220 just like some of other chipped a4s?

Why did you order a 4 bar fpr? The stock A4 fpr is 4 bar. No way in hell you can get away with upping the boost much higher than stock levels without a chip or at least without doing the diode mod. Your MAP sensor will put you in limp mode real quick. Youre going about this all wrong. You cant just get a mbc and higher pressure fpr and all of a sudden have 220 hp.... Especially on a 00+ with map sensor..
Also, with the stock turbo, if you gotanything other than a bleeder/gated type mbc, its not going to work out well. What kind of mbc did you get?
You need to do a lot of research before ordering parts and making assumptions.

opss … i got 4.5 fpr not 4.0… and i did diod mode ….

Ok.. Maybe I read you wrong... Sorry...
Whats happening when you go above 18psi? Do you get throtle cut w/ EPC light until restart? And what type of MBC did you get?

it feels like throttle cut, but no cel light or code at all for last 2 days…

Do you loose all power all of a sudden but the engine doesnt stall? As in- engine idles, but no matter how much you press the gas it doesnt do anythign BUT idle?
What kind of MBC did you get?

i got some basic simple ball and spring mbc, I had it in for longest time…. I do some loose power… I feels something like you hit red line… [/i]
