Battery Problem
If someone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. Here is the problem. Originally the battery light would come on when I start my car until I press the gas and then it would be fine. So I bought a new battery and it didn't solve the problem. I took it in to be diagnose and they said the alternator is bad along with a few other things. I then replaced the alternator and the old one did fail on all three tests. We replaced the timing belt basically all the pulleys the water pump the thermostat. Basically anything you can think of once inside there. Put it all back together and the problem is still there. When started it sits a little below 12 volts with the battery light on. As soon as you step on the gas it shoots to 14 volts and stays there. Does anyone know what this problem is please!!! Sorry I forgot it's a 1998 Audi a6.

I think the problem is due to some of the damage in the wiring route through the battery. I would say you just check the wiring of the car ingnition and the Headllight. May be some of the portion could gaining more power from the battery than before or just call the better electrician of the cars.
