One thing that does happen with iOS 5 is that car drops the bluetooth connection after several seconds and then reconnects mid-call. The bluetooth icon in the RNS-E disappears and re-appears... very annoying. This did not happen at all under iOS 4, so something in 5 has changed.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Can't say I have experienced any dropped bluetooth signal...every now and then it won't auto connect with my car but that doesn't seem abnormal.

I finally got my iPhone 4s in running iOS 5.0 and there is no change in the bluetooth volume, still stupid loud, i've gotten good at scrolling the volume down from my steering wheel but every now and then it still catches me off guard...

I'm with you -- I am resigned to the fact that Apple / Audi cannot fix this issue, so I make sure to roll the volume back on the wheel before I say anything.

As for the iOS5 bluetooth issue, I have read lots of postings on Apple's forum about BT problems; they are very real. I have had all sorts of problems since upgrading, and I hope they are fixed soon.

The only workaround that I have found is to let the car find the phone, turn bluetooth off, turn it back on and reconnect. A bit of a pain, but at least my calls don't cut out.
