audi a4 b5 1.8L 1994-1995 mod

struggling with the whole instrument / cluster has stopped working tachometer speed gas heat etc gauges not working ...
number on instrument is 8d0 190a.
no monitors work but warning lights is flashing binkers park brake etc.
nor is it light in Dash ...

situation

I've switched abs sensor on the left side in front after this the instrument stopped working .. I switched back unsuccessfully.
I have looked after anything unusual on the instrument nothing out of the normal. fuses are ok.

is random or is there a connection?

Are there other instruments than 8d0 190a suitable or are other types sutible?
