Post Break dust cleaner for 2012 Audi A6 Alloy wheels

Hello,
I recently bought a 2012 Audi A6. I'm looking for break dust cleaner for my Audi alloy wheels. I'm wondering are Alloy and aluminium wheels same or different? Today I bought an Eagle one aluminium wheel cleaner at walmart. Is this the right one to use on my alloy wheels?

Thanks for your help.

It will work fine. The key is to wash the wheels regularly and apply elbow grease each time using a brush or soft cloth.

Always read the directions & make sure it says it is ok for painted/clear coated surfaces.

@Ben...How often I have to wash the wheels? When should I apply elbow grease before or after wash? What is the use of this elbow grease?

@M5S5...Actually on the label it says "ideal for aluminum wheels and polished aluminum accessories.

Acid-free formula specifically for aluminum and anodized wheels."

But I don't know whether mine are aluminium or polished aluminium or anodized wheels.

I checked Audi A6 specs on Audi website but all it says over there is Alloy wheels.

"Elbow grease" means effort, as in 'don't depend on simply spraying the wheels with wheel cleaner.' The brake dust and other dirt must be rubbed away using a wheel brush and/or a cloth. I clean wheels weekly or notre often if needed, such as immediately following a track event where he wheels get especially dirty in a short period of time.

Enjoy your car!
