Default 1999 A4T clutch sliping, what to do?

Hi, I bought 1999 A4 1.8T with a manual transmision two months ago, the person who I bought it said that he just replaced the clutch, because was sliping. I test drive it and it looked fine.Few days ago I was trying to pass some cars on the road and when I accelerate a little harder, I sawthat my RPM is going up but the car do not accelerate a lot. Is it any body knows, if anything else can bedone exept replacing clutch? What else can couse sliping?

Thanks a lot for your help.

leaking rear main seal... leaks oil onto the clutch disc allowing it to slip.

can chage the clutch as many time as you want...

3m makes this rear main seal sealer... it pretty much swells the seal...

costs maybe 4.00... and if it goes away then you kno your issue... if not...

trans input shaft seals can leak and slip... and improper install can slip.

i'd try the 4.00 fix... if not... gonna have to take it in somewhere
