My late wife ( her in the sig file ) had an 89 200TQ which has not been driven in about 4 years. 374k miles on the engine which had started blowing some smoke on startup. I assume that was the value seals going bad. My son asked me about using the car. Aside from a new headliner, paint and electrics the car is fine.

My question is this.

1. Better to just replace what is not working right?
2. Better to replace engine or rebuild
3. Go to the 91 20 valve engine and if so, do I need to replace the ecu and electrics?
