While driving my car this weekend, it started violently shaking and sputtering and then the EPC and Engine lights came on. Had it towed to the dealership and am now being told it will need a new engine. Thankfully, it is covered under warranty. Was told that the new engine will not carry a new warranty but will only be covered for the remainder of my original warranty (17K miles). I am now afraid to keep this car after it is repaired. I can't help but be afraid that it will need another engine at some point soon after the warranty expires. Also, will having the engine replaced have any effect on my resale value? Does anyone have any advice?
