Default Am I screwed

Hi Have a 97 a4 with a 1.8t. Bent a rod so I tore it apart replaced the rod, and put it back together. Started it up today and there was a little noise nothing that seemed to concerning so i let it run. After about minute half to 2 minutes I got and eerie sound like it was gonna seize i quick turned it off. Anyone had this happen or have an idea what may have happend. Have oil in the head so pump had to be working. Please help.

You bent a rod without doing any other damage?

By Some Mirical yes. Not sure how it happened but i am glad it was not worse then it was. Ok so I had a revelation last night about this problem. The ignition switch is bad, yesterday when i primed the system i noticed when you turn the key that it will hold itself in the start position. I think what happened is the starter never retracted got hot seized causeing the bogging sound i heard. Which would make sense cause after it happened I tried to start it and nothing happened.
