Default Anyone have this happen on a 2.7T

I own a 2001 Audi 2.7T with a six speed. Great car, 120,000 miles. Approximately 30,000 mi ago had the water pump and timing belt replaced. Driving home the water pump failed and took out the timing belt which in turn bend the valves.

Do I have any recourse with Audi and the Part?

Also anyone have thoughts on whether to part it out or try to sell it. If sell it what I might be able to get for it.

Damn dude, that sucks hard. Who did the job? was it you? if so then you probably have no legal standing on that... if it was a garage or dealer they will probably tell you to sue them, or they will correct their error... probably the first. I would sue them in small claims regardless. Car's value is probably a couple to 3,000 for parts.

Edit: wouldnt be called small claims actually, this is a rather big claim...

I have never heard of a water pump going bad and taking the belt out... I have seen a tensioner go bad when someone installs the tensioner incorrectly. You could part the car out but I am betting if your car is in good shape you could sell it as is easily. It would cost about 2K to redo the heads and what ever the lobor and parts for removal. All dealers have a 12,000 mile/12 month warranty on parts and labor if you had a dealer do the work.
