Exhaust DIY
From what I've heard and seen:
Just muffler - same sound but a hair louder, like turning up the volume a notch. Same tone, etc as stock.
Just resonator - same noise level as stock, but deeper tone.
Both - deeper and louder but by no means obnoxious and very little droning to drive you nuts.

Take it to them and put the car in the air. Ahead of the muffler is a huge suitcase-style resonator. They'll remove that and put the Vibrant in. I would do the 14816 at the same time though. The stock muffler piping enters at the corner of the muffler. On the Magnaflow it comes in straight. Piping that they make to fit the Vibrant to a stock muffler will have to be remade when you swap to the Magnaflow. Cheaper and easier just to do it at once.
Keep in mind my 30v has bigger lungs and the turbo on your car will muffle the sound a little. Fortunately the 1.8T sounds really good with a free-flowing exhaust - nothing like the typical 4-cylinder. I think you'll really like it.
