Default General Maintenance

Am sure this has probably been addressed somewhere else in these forums, but could not find it.

Am a relatively new Audi owner. Wife bought me a used 2011 A6 about a year ago. Took it in for simple oil change and they (the dealer) said its time for the 55k tune-up ---- which they want to charge me $780 for.

What do Audi owners do here please? Cant imagine the answer here is to pay the dealership $780 for a freaking tune-up????

thanks for your time,
TJ

They don't call them the "stealer" for nothing. Can you do any automotive maintenance? Change the oil, spark plugs, and things like that? I'd wager $500 of that price is just labor.

Here's a helpful list of what the "tune-up" actually is . http://www.audiusa.com/content/dam/a...-Year-2011.pdf

I recommend finding a reputable shop that knows German cars. There should be a shop that services BMW. Mercedes, Audi, VW, and Porsche where you live. They'll be able to do anything you need at probably half the price if not less.
