Hello I have a 2001 A4 Quatro 1.8 T, the problem is that the heater never gets hot. It does have climate contol, there is good airflow at the vents, the a/c works normally, the engine runs at operating temp, both heater hoses going into the firewall get hot. Im not sure if this car uses an electic hot water valve or a blend air door to modulate the temp. It seems that the coolant is making it through the heater core since both heater hoses are hot, I think that the air is not being directed through the heater core but im not sure.
This problem was first noticed when the car was having a problem not warming up to operating temp due to the thermostat being stuck open, I replaced the thermostat myself, and refilled the coolant with new pink audi coolant bought from the local dealer. The car warmed up normally after this repair, however the heater would not warm up.
