Woke up in OC NJ to find my A8 with flood water up to bottom of driver side door, with water on the bottom of the floor. No power - hazzard lights are flashing. Opened the door and put the key in the ignition, nothing. It kept the key! Waiting for water recede and will then check what happens. Hoping this is an automatic/electronic failsafe that can be reset after the water goes down?? Worried about what this is going to cost me. Any advise? Looks like it will take another 2 hours before the flood goes down.

 

Sounds like an instant insurance write off!!
