slave cylinder removal ????

Default slave cylinder removal ????

can anyone tell me if there is a trick to removing the slave cylinder from my 1986 5000cs quattro turbo ? i have removed the retaining clip and freeded it up enough to rotate it about 3\4 inch back and forth and that is it, it will not pull out of the bellhousing! thank you for any assistance

There isn't any real trick to getting out the slave cylinder... There should only be that one bolt and you wiggle it out of there, since its so old i would assume the rubber boot melted a little and is stuck on the bell housing. Try using PB blaster or something to break it loose then use a small pry bar to get it out.

what bolt ?? i thought i had been told that on this model year there was only a retainer type wire clip and that i have removed and the damn thing moves around freely but you can tell that it is definetly hitting against something solid like a bolt but i can not find anything that resembles a bolt of any kind ! any ideas ???? kool
