Default something wrong

hi there
i just bought an A6 2.7T Manual
the car was running good for the first few hours, then the engine light came, in which i have no idea why, and it also feels like i lost some power, it does not feel the same the first time i drove it. it does spool up, but feels like the power gets cut off only after a few rpm,
is all this happening cause of the engine light ?? tommorow iam taking to a autopart store so they can reset it maybe.
any help would be helpful

Your in limp mode. Get the codes read, chances are you have a boost leak, coming from either the TBB, or DV's.

then it should be ok but if it returns then lets know, P0306 is just a misfire so not a serious problem
