Default Vibrates when accelerating

I have a 2003 A4 3.0 and it has recently started to shake when I accelerate. It will stop as soon as I take my foot off the gas. Audi has cleaned out the transmission and the fuel intake. 500 bucks and no fix. Any ideas?

Update----Audi just told me it was the left drive shaft axle. I hope they have it right this time. I am picking up today.

mlev - I sent you a message on this one. How did it turn out. Sounds (feels) like I have the same problem on my 2002 A4 3.0. Thanks.

It ended up being a cracked or broken drivers side axle drive shaft. Not sure exactly the name, but it had those words in the problem. It cost around 900 bucks, but the car is fine now.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to save a little $$ and take it to a non dealer mechanic. They did find a nice dent in the center of my alloy front left. They went on to say they inspected the axles and didn't find a problem. Still has the same problem after replacing rim and I am fairly sure it's the problem you describe. Helps to go to the dealer with a little info. Thanks.

a cracked axel shaft. that doesn't just happen. I mean its a piece of steel. I would look into getting that paid for. Call the news and see if they will help you. also 900 bucks is a hella expensive fix for that, To put it in perspective. I just bought two, yes two new axels for less than 250. Just conserned that your getting screwed.
