Default Exhaust possibilities for 1999 A4 B5

Hi i just purchased a 1999 A4 (non Quattro ) and am looking for exhaust options available for my car.. i've had a look around on the internet but there's not really any 1999 A4's out there with a good video showing of there exhaust so im a little stuck of what to get... but i was just wondering, does it matter if i put a exhaust system on my FWD A4 that says its for the same year but quattro version of the car i mean because they have the same chassi all thats different is its AWD.... heres a link of the one im looking at for the quattro

Were you wanting to go with a full exhaust? Or just changing up some pieces and keeping the stock pipe? Also, which engine to you have on the car? Is it a 2.8 or a 1.8T?

If you want to save money, you can pickup a magnaflow 14816 or 14815 muffler for around 150 at performancepeddler.com

I personally wouldn't get a full exhaust unless you have a 1.8T you plan on modifying and pushing out a lot more horsepower. If you just want a little bit more beef in the sound, I would pickup the muffler and possibly a resonator depending on how loud you want it.

I would recommend avoiding spending a bunch on shiny chrome pipe that's just gonna sit under your car. Many mechanics shops can fabricate you a turbo-back exhaust for fairly cheap and put on a decent muffler and tip (if you want, I'd say go straight pipe, hewl yea). The exhaust system will be the same as the quattro, if its the 1.8t, go for a 2.5" down pipe/exhaust. If it's the 2.8, a 3" will give a cooler sound, without any significant power increase, but people don't usually get a 2.8 for power and mods anyway.

Here's a couple videos of the custom setup I have on my 30v. It'll give you an idea of how a built system can sound.

ImTheDevil - do you have any videos that contain a standstill redline and a 0-100 punching it in each gears, just so i can hear what it sounds like when you really hammer it !
