is anyone here familiar with nitrous from www.zex.com?..they have this patented feature called "Active Fuel Control" which monitors nitrous bottle pressure and adds or subtracts enrichment fuel so the engine never runs too rich, or too lean, when you engage the nitrous system

but with water injection, many systems from www.aquamist.co.uk/ and www.snowperformance.net that monitor the water/fuel ratio or water/boost/air ratio so then don't "overdose" on water/menthanol

so im planning on adding nitrous on my TT and also water injection so it will prevent my engine from detonation cuz of the nitrous, but will both systems work together "harmoniously" or will they both like "get confused" and i end up with a detonated engine with water/menthanol everywhere?

Dont use ZEX.

If youre going to install anything get a wet kit from NOS or NX. The basic system with a fuel pressure safety switch will get you by. You wont be able use more then a 35-50 shot without some pretty moderate upgrades.

I have a NX wet kit that I plan to convert to an intercooler condenser. I pondered spraying the TT but you can get 35-40 hp just from cooling the intercooler in some cases. Wouldnt get much further without at least a clutch if you injected it anyways. So I dunno, it depends on how far you wanna take it and how much you ultimately want to put at risk.

It also delays any upgrades of the stock intercooler. No pressure drop across a small super cooled core...

I've sprayed brand new cars to the max before with a clear conscience, but I dont have the heart to do it to the Audi. Besides theres plenty of power to be made with the turbo. No need to risk my precious 1.8T with the giggle gas.

Think about it and post what you decide, if it goes well for ya...ive always got the wet kit...

Nitros is on demand system, meaning, you use it by a switch.

A bigger turbo is much better that Nitros.

over time turbo will pay for it self compared to Nirtos.

but, having Nitros on bored, doesnt mean you will use it all the time, just to burn some rice. So its all up to you.

PS Nitro can get you off the line, while Turbo will make you go later on. So its all up to you.

Do you race?
