Once I got one of these emails that had a picture of a supposed contract with the President of Burundi to send some millions of dollars to me if I would add his neice to one of my credit cards so she legally buy a plane ticket home from New York, so I sent the guy a pic of my computer screen with his email in the back, and my Langley gate pass in the foreground.

That was fun.

yeh, i got an email like that when i had a car for sale in autotrader. (got lots of them!)
it was fun and sometimes i would send a long email back to them making them think they had a sucker on the line, then i bashed 'em good at the end. i laughed, because i figured i was able to waste some of their time, too.

i think the lottery is the only way to get fast money like that!

[].....and i was all ready to be Chef's new best friend and let him take me shopping on Rodeo Drive.

 

They had a special on 60 minutes this weekend about the people that set up those scams. Pretty interesting and I was amazed at how many morons really do fall into it. They interviewed a woman that may have been in her 30s at the most and she did it and got ripped off. I can see them getting an older person but how stupid do you have to be to give into that stuff? Pretty funny.

 

You should write back and tell them that you are very excited about helping them, but that you need $1000 to fulfill all of their requests. Press home that they should be willing to spend just a little to get their hands on the $30M.

 

it doesn't matter because their $10000 check is bad...heck, their $10 check is bad.

it would be better to go back and forth on emails for a while and then finally send them a bad check!

 

That is why I need my Bear's payment in person.
