You are correct, sir. The real SS's to watch out for are LS1s, a.k.a. 98-02. If they have any mods most people have their hands full.

When i was going thru the phase fo getting a different car, i test drove 2 one had new cams and exhuast in it. Its scared teh **** outta me. I smoked the tires just dabbing into the throttle. Of course im not sure i would want one for a daily driver. I should just take a formula ford chassis and drop a LS1 in it. Then i would smoke all of u guys!

Damned LS1's are badass on the highways! I never did own an LS1 car... almost picked up a 99 zedder, but it never happened... the opti was bad in it and I just took it as a sign, and walked away. Simple fix I guess... but I didn't feel like fixing something on a car I would be just buying. Plus it's hard to get enthusiastic over a car when it's misfiring and running like ***!
But yeah, LS1's pull like crazy on the highway.

opti? I'm assuming you meant to say 97 or lower? LS1s have coil packs and are much more reliable ignition-wise than LT1s.
