Default RS4 Spare Tire

The 2007 RS4 does not come with either a spare tire or a jack. Does anyone know of a space-saver spare that would work with this car? Last weekend I had a tire puncture while on a road trip and had to spend a whole day dealing with it, including flatbedding the car to a tire dealer. Any suggestions appreciated!

So there's not even space for one under the rug in the trunk? Wierd.

No spare on mine either. Did you have any luck with the tire sealent and air pump?

As far as a space saving spare is concerned ...I think that may be a difficult proposition with the big calipers on the front in comparison to the ones on the back, a universal spare might be difficult to find.

Let me know though if you ferret one out as I would like one for my RS4!

Thanks,

I bought a Mercedes E55 space saver (17" alluminum) spare tire. It will fit over the rear brake with a 5/16" spacer and slighlty longer wheels bolts. I put it in a small cardboard box in the trunk with the net over it and 2 bungy cords. works great for me. Keep in mind if you get a flat in the front, you have to move the rear wheel to the front and put the spare on the rear. A little bit of a pita but solves the poblem. I use a porsche jack which is very small. Everything else is there already .. including pump and wrench.
