Default 02 S4 warranty

What’s up guys,
I just put a down payment on a 2001.5 black 6MT S4 with 34K on the car and it still under the Audi bumper to bumper warranty for another 3 months. The car runs perfectly, but I was offered a 10yr 100K warranty for $1,650. I am really torn between purchasing it or not. It is a decent amount of money, but would give me piece of mind with the turbo's. What do you guys think and your experiences with 3rd party warranties?
Thanx in advance,
Rob

that is way too little. audi offers 2years /40,000 milles bumper to bumper for $2,400. third party does 3 year for the same money.
i am very sceptical that your warranty is only $1,650. there got to be a hint.

for me it was , i plan to have this car for a while , and mine was an 01, but i figured if any thing went wrong with the turbo's engine or tranny , it was going to cost that much anyways.

I just got mine 01 S4 with 9k miles, no warranty. Bought it anyways, if the turbos go, just get the RS4. I figured since the mileage was so low that I will have awhile to go if I take good care of them. But at 40K miles, I would take the warranty.
