I have a '01 S4 with the twin turbo. What is the most sensible option to boost the HP? The car is quick but I have heard of numerous mods to increase HP.

I'm new to all of this, but from what I've read, I think the way to go would be to chip the car. It's a toss up between the APR and GIAC chip, so far. It's recomended that you upgrade your DV when you chip to prevent your turbos from dying prematurely. A more expensive alternative would be to upgrade your turbos, but you'd need to chip your car with this as well. Again, this is just from what I've read, I'm not an expert or anything. Good luck with your car though.

 

to me, it would seem you'd be best served by doing a good exhaust system, better intake and then chip it.

 

apr or giac chip. both will make your car insanely fast. but definitely research it or take it to a local shop and the work done by people who know what they are doing. www.goapr.com or www.awe-tuning.com and search for local dealers. driving a chipped car compared to stock is night and day.

 

i would upgrade ur DVs when u upgrade the chip. They claim 70+ HP gain and liek 100 TQ. If u ever plan on upgrading to K04s i would say go with teh GIAC b/c they will give u a give u a discount when u go to but the K04 chip. I think its like 200.
