Default Brand new brakes screech / squeak

I recently had the stoptech stage II kit installed, and even after doing the brake-in instructions, I'm having an issue. A couple weeks after I had them done they started to squeak or make a screeching sound when I stop. It only happens under 10, maybe even 5 miles an hour, but its very annoying and it is pretty loud. I took it back to the shop that installed them and they retorqued everything and said the rotors and pads were fine, so why are they making that noise?

i had this on my stock brakes. i hate braking, but the only way i know to get rid of it is to use them, get your car to speed and use the brakes. if you are a cautious driver and plan your moves on traffic or an up coming off ramp, (i'm back woods, i do this too), just wait a few more seconds and give a meatier thrust to the brake pedal. my problem disapeared in a matter of weeks.

He I'm not cautious like that. I thought if I used them more it would go away, but its been a couple weeks and it hasn't changed.

i also have the stoptech kit, and im experiencing the same thing. The mechanic told me that its just like dust... and if you give it a couple hard brakes when you first stop it should quit...but its not really. i think its just the type of pad. for me its only when i lightly brake.

yea they are still squeaking and its pissing me off. Some guy said its cause they are a harder compound and the squeak means they are good, but I don't think I can take it anymore. Its not a soft squak, its really loud. Think if I changed brake pads it would make a difference?

The guy I go through for all my audi raciung needs says that the pads are to soft and create so much dust that it causes a squeek. He says if you s upgrade the pads to a meallic pad the squeek and the dust should vanish.

That's what I was told. The brakes are so good that they squeak...I thought he was crazy at first but he said if u get cheaper not as good quality pads the squeak goes away.
