I have a chance to buy a FMIC kit for $650. I went with the GIAC x chip last month and am in love. Does anyone know what kind of hp gain you will get from a FMIC instead of stock SMIC's? I heard that because it is close to the radiator u run the risk of higher intake air temps and/or overheating....any of these nasty rumours true?

 

The thing is because there is more surface area there is more air to air contact giving you a possibly better cooling situation. Also the stock tiny smic's get heatsoaked fairly easily with a chipped setup.

plus because the radiator is going to be behind the intercooler... i dont think that you're going to be driving backwards all the time, so air is going to keep the heat from the radiator down.

 

oh, also another thing... there is one down side... because of the longer charge piping it can case a slight lag in boost.
