Help ASAP windows are stuck down!!
My windows are stuck in the down posistion, all of them! I installed my greddy 3 turbo timer yesterday and i tried to roll down the windows but nothing happened, none of the switches wanted to work. So today i get the bright idea of seeing if the windows will lower if i hold the unlock botton on my key, and they did however no i cant get the windows back up!! On top of that i do not own a garage so if any bad weather decides to come my way i am fvcked!!
i figure its got to be something with the turbo timer. i followed the instructions here: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec98.shtml
and the turbo timer works fine. Maybe a fuse for the windows blew? but then wouldnt the windows not work if i got them down with the unlock key?? help please!

Have you tried to use your key to close the windows? Put the key in the door lock , turn & hold at lock, the widows should close.
You can check the window fuse, it might have blown when installing the TT, or you shorted something out.

i fixed it! for some reason when i wired up the turbo timer, i did an extra, un-needed step which caused the windows to stop working. However, the key in the lock thing never worked for me to get the windows up, i dont know why.
ok so let me explain what happened. I followed the directions in that write up, and as a result my windows stopped working. I had a feeling it was involved with me cutting the wire that its says to cut in step 4. " 4) Find the tiny BLACK w/BLUE wire coming out the back of position #6 - cut it... yeah - CUT IT. " Then it says " Remove fuse from position#6 (put it into the inline fuse holder). Connect the wire that you just cut from fuse 6 (central locking) to a fuse holder; I put an 5 amp fuse into the holder. Then connect the other end of fuse holder to the 75x post next to the 30. "
these two steps are unnecessary. the only wires i have left for the turbo timer which still functions correctly, is the ground and the green wire thats runs to the blue black vagcom wire, and the red thats runs to post 30.
