Intermittent Starting and Dying (95 S6)
Hello All,
This problem just started. Car occasionally wont start in afternoon (above 90 degress) however after 3-5 minutes of cycling the ignition switch (engine cranks over always) it starts. Will drive it 20+ min, turn it off, immediately try to start it up and it fires right up, leave it for 10 min then it wont start. Perform the 3-5 min cranking routine and it starts up. It always starts in the morning (70 however seems to not start in the afternoon since it has been about 100 here in Denver CO. It has done this to me several times however now it died on me twice while driving. Towed it home and she started that evening and has ever time for the last four days regardless of the temp… I am chasing a ghost and not sure where to start… There is fuel pressure at the injectors, I check all the connectors in the engine bay, under the seat, pulled every relay to reseat them and the ECU. There weren’t any codes in the ECU. Are there any Circuit Breakers (CB) or Thermal Fuses that would cause this?( the only CB i found are for the heated seats) Any ideas would be appreciated.
