^ i didnt read msot of the posts.... but yea take it from me im now 19....and when i had bout the S i was 18..... Your car insurance WILL be insane with any type of loan on it. Loan=MAX coverage.... Mine was $4250 a year untill i turned 19 1/2 when i had 3 years of driving experience then it dropped down to $2200ish.
My car payment is another $333.00 a month and then gas on top of it ranges anywhere from $200-$450 a montyh depending on the time of year and what the prices are at....
ANNND to top it all off , you need atleast $1,000.00 in the bank at all times for any type of repairs that may happen.
Soo yea if you plan on going to be a full time college student it is going to be verrry tough..... it is possible but very tough.
And as for mods... you mind as well throw them out the window cause it takes months to build income when you go paycheck to paycheck most of the time.

It sucks to live this way but your only young once and ive been doing it for a year now so i feel im used to it.

Just saying this all to let you know how it is, and i dont know ur situation so im not steering you either way... Good luck with the decision!

-TK (the poor college student)

P.S. SILVER IS THE FASTEST..... FTW!!!!!

yea defiently all that he said. oh yea and another thing with insurance, make sure u never get caught doin anythin because if you get even one ticket thats a few hundred more a year they charge you. I still think keeping it under your parents names is the way to go cuz then the rates are under 1000 usually, at least where I am (i know its kinda scamming the insurance companies but they need it)

The dealer gives you wholesale on trade in's. THey are ripping you off, that is just how they do it.

Even putting you on your Mom's insurance is going to be expensive. You should look into it first.

Guys, I pay $55 a month to insure my S4! [:@]

umm quick question...your from va, right so why do you want awd.....u could easily get a much faster rwd for alot less money....just figured id point that out
awd is def the way to go. launching it is quicker off the line and it handles way better than rwd when cornering. plus it makes it difficult to spin the tires unless you are making over 380 awhp. def stick with the awd.

Yea, looks like I'm gonna do a private sale of the Dakota. Carmax thought it would be funny to offer $3000. Plan on being in debt with my folks until I can get the truck sold but I'm not sure if I want to go with this S4. Although it's sooo nice looking I'm hoping to find one with a few less miles on it. Ideally I would like about 60-70k on it with it being a tiptronic while still around that $15-16.5k pricetag. So if anyone knows anyone else with this kinda S4 around the Washington DC area please let me know. Silver is the optimal color I'm going for but I would also take red or yellow.
