Hey guys, great forum you have here. I have seen lots of good ideas. I just bought my wife the S4 avante, 2001. She wanted a wagon, we have owned an A4 before, so this time I went for the turbo. I've seen intercoolers on ebay for 150 or so. Can I install one without any other mods, or do I need to add headers and an intake to up the flow? This is my first turbo car, so I am learning. I want to keep it reliable, and fun to drive. She wants it quiet, so no major pipe work, but I wouldnt mind hearing the turbo a little louder. Thanks for your help.

oh, one more question, I see the NAV units on ebay too, will any a4/s4 work, or are they year specific?

 

The intercoolers on Ebay certainly aren't a drop in direct fit replacement. Not for $150.
