Possibly Buying a 1993 S4, Questions..?
Hello everyone
I am looking into buying a 1993 S4 that a guy is selling local to me. I know a few things about this car, but not a whole lot.
I've heard that the 5 cyl is bullet-proof, which is nice.
What I do know about the car:
190k miles (mostly freeway, commutes to-from Oregon - San Francisco once a month)
new timing belt
new waterpump
new roller tensioner
new thermostat
new fuel pump and filter
good clutch
100% stock
how much longer will this car last? I hear good things about the engine, but you have to be somewhat skeptical when the car reaches the 200k mark... or do you?
Is there anything else I should ask the guy? Its super clean, no rust or anything, looks like he maintained it really well.
He wants 4000, which is reasonable, just below the kbb of 4300. Is it worth it? I like the car, but I want to be sure.

Thanks
Sal

I had 94 urs4 before I upgraded to a B5 S4. I bought it with 100k on the clock and sold it about a year ago with slightly over 200k on the clock. I know the guy that has it. He has yet to have a problem with it, then again I took real good care of it. I sold it for $3300, but It had two issues; it needed brakes and the outer door trim needed to be replaced ($200).
I still miss it to this day...
