ahh that's what they call it, so that's not the stock tranny you had in the car? because I always thought E36's had the reverse below 5th

ahhh dog leg...the visualization helps, makes sense now. once again chatter is pretty lame, i got a good amount but as soon as I hit 1900 rps its gone. its also hardly noticable on decent accelerations.

E30 M3, the Original!
It's a Euro trans, never came over here. 1st is very tall (45mphish), and the rest is close ratio.
2500lbs, 300hp & 250trq all motor 2.5l 4 banger!

gOD! The E30 M3 is one of my all time favorite cars (I must say, more than any Audi). But damn, I didn't know that about the tranny. 45 is damn high for a first gear. Must have been a blast to drive around the track with such a tranny.

Yea, it was a blast to drive! It was faster around the track compared to STG II S4's.
I needed the high 1st gear, with out it, I had nothing but wheel spin.

I owned it from 1995-2006, yup, sold it last March.

The cars are EXPENSIVE, and when I say expensive, you have no idea! I paid $3800 for cams & buckets!
$2500 for throttle bodies, $1000 for 4 injectors, it just went on & on.
It was in Eurotuner, European Car & even had a shot in Sports Compact Car from a car show.

It's one of the most balanced cars ever made!

God damn man! Well sorry to hear you had to get rid of it, and yeah, I'm familiar with how expensive it is to own one (not first hand). But did they have ITB's on the S16 motor?

Yup, individual throttles.

I've done a little research on the clutch and flywheel setup, sorry I don't feel like lookin it up and posting it.

I'm doing a clutch upgrade (looks like maybe a ceramic) and a single mass flywheel, but not a lightweight flywheel.
Supposed to be a good way to go.

Research it.
