Default Realistic gains for B6 S4 (v8 6spd)

I just got the car, has a milltek cat-back and an intake ( I believe it's a hyperflow). I'd like to chip it butit doesn't seem like there's a whole lot togain otherwise. I know a great deal about cars and have built a few engines before just never an audi. It's a daily driver but i'd like to know what people are making power-wise with these things. any input?

And if you know if a popular thread that I may have missed during my searching, don't be rude. Paste a link. Thanks.

Well on the v8 my understanding is a chip will give you close to 20 HP
downpipes will free up another 10 HP maybe
IM not sure on milltex specifically but i think an exhaust will add another 10-15 HP
The intake my help a little but theres not going to be a rated power gain for it i dont think.

If you have 340 HP stock i might figure 375 ish after the things listed above, and thas crank HP, youll loose a bunch due to the AWD etc.

The only way to get much more than that is to put a supercharger kit on and thats pretty expensive, id stick to Downpipes, Exhaust, Chip, intake, then suspension and brakes.

the fact of the matter is there isnt much you can do. also if you do get the exhaust/intake the car needs to be tuned for it or theres a possibility you may be losing performance. but bottom line is there isnt a whole lot to do to a NA v8 short of throwing a charger on there.

Honestly, Chip & full exhaust are like 10-15whp.

If you really want some HP from it, you got to add a Super Charger.

And the stock bottom end can handle the abuse from a charger?

Is the MTM kit the is all be all?

for now i believe MTM is top. Its not the most popular thing in the world at the moment, just because most people who want a highpower + tunable s4 buy a B5. Theres so much you can do without having to spend $15,000 at one time.

Quick google search told me APR is developing a blower kit for the 4.2 as well...

theres a sweet video of a blown MTM B7 RS4 sexyyy

And i guess it is pretty easy to put that much in to a b5 getting to full stg 3 haha. Intercolers, DP's, Exhaust, turbo kit, fueling, suspension, brakes, bi pipe, DV's, DTS, Short Sifter etc etc. Youre just about there haha.

the hundreds add up to thoudsands pretty quickly, Im sure ill get there eventually

Yea, thanks for the replies guys. I didn't think there was much of a market. I was hoping there would be cams or something but i guess there's not much of a market.

I'm partial to v8 engines so i'd prolly do the s/c rather than put all kinds of work into a daily. If I were going to do that much i'd build something different from the ground up.
