I tried searchin, im putting nav in my 05 S4 does anyone know what color and where the vss wire is. Is it in the harness behind the radio or not. Thanks... BTW I tried searching with little luck

Ok it didnt list 05 S4, howeve ri got info on 05 A4....
Speed Sense wire (aka VSS) brown/red or white/blue at the instrument cluster (blue plug).
However i dont know if that is the same as for the S4 most likley it is even if its not you are not gonna damage anything by testing it... maybe a blown fuse at worst. Hope it helps

Just looks for blug plug at instrument cluster and test each of those wires.... U trying to add Navi? if so what unit? if u odnt mind me asking

 

a Kenwood, unit Ill post pics and the what not when I put it in. Its for a friend so I dont have access to an audi at the moment, is this plug on the cluster easily accesiable or do I need to pull the cluster, if so any help is much appreciated

Not too familiar with the car. but with b5's i know if u take off most of the under dash you can acess it but im not sure on an 05... Good luck it shouldnt bee TOO bad. but then again who knows.

 

I need to locate the VSS wire on my 06 B7 A4. Anybody have this data? Same as the 05?
