I have a 2012 A4 quattro with 25k miles. Had the 25k service and they rotated the tires but reported that the wear looked fine. Been making a lot of road noise since so took it back today and they said there is significant cupping and that i need new tires and that mine won't last another 1 to 2k more. Does this seem right?

I ran into exactly the same issue... took my A5 in to Belle Tire for balance and rotate. they could barely balance them -- and said not to rotate. It appeared they had not been rotated, much less balanced!! Bought the car with 24K -- just put new Pirelli A6 tires on last week. HUGE difference. Had a 4 Wheel alignment done at the same time. I store the car in the winter....
