Yep,

It looks like I'm the only REVO guy in the area. I think both programs are nearly identical anyway. Just go with whatever tuner you prefer, trust more, or has the better deal.

Congrats!!!

Thanks for everyone's well wishes.

So I got to ECodeTuning last night at about 8pm. They had two other clients before me, so I got to hang out with some of their employees and shoot the breeze about VAG. They were very hospitable, and had free Diet Coke, and free beer (as the night wore on). They are very knowledgeable about VAG cars, and have a Master Audi Tech on staff, Matt.

Afterwards, David went on a short run with me to log my numbers on third gear. My A3 is now ridiculously fast. With ESP off I am chirping in first and second easily (my car is too new to hold it deep into the red line). My friend (and fellow A3 2.0T owner) works in Torrance, so he stopped by. I drove him around "spiritedly" after my reflash to let him see how good the APR program was. He was this close (David was in his car with the VAG-COM hooked up) to also getting it, but his girlfriend "convinced" him out of it. Then again, he's kind of reckless (like Audinam) so maybe it was not the end of the world. The cost was also an issue and I forgot to tell him the Revo was also on sale for only $399 (if you want the reflash and absolutely nothing else) as I was so "in the moment" with the APR software. So Chef's uniqueness is safe for the moment.
