Default Brake Balance

Hey Everyone

I went to wash my car today and i noticed something i haven't noticed before on my cars. I currently have and 07 A3 2.0t premium. Usually the brake dust is is even on both sides of the car a little more concentrated on the front than on the back. But today, just a few weeks since its last wash. The rims on the passenger side looked relatively clean nothing crazy. But on the drivers side they were DARK easily ten times darker then the passenger side. When i drive even at speed breaking for a fast corner i don't notice any bias in the brakes but is it possible i have a balance issue? could they be dragging slightly? Is it something i should waste teh time of having the dealer look at it to tell me its fine??

any thaughts?

-Tim

Default RE: Brake Balance

The brake circuit on a road car is split diagonally for safety in the case of brake failure. TheLF& RR are operated by one master cylinder and theRF & LR by another. So it is very unlikley you will have a left-right brake balance issue. If you are worried, you've nothing to lose by showing itto your dealer.
