1999 A4 1.8t Chipped. Need help

Only on the 2000+ A4s could your ECU just be re-flashed, before then a chip would need to soldered in, so locate your ECU and open it and see.
even if he is DBC, he wont be able to tell the difference between the stock chip and aftermarket... its not like it will say "giac" on it,...
w/e, just tryin to be helpful.

if it 00+ you have to get a boost gauge to know for sure. but if you can beat hondas you are chipped
Except the NSX.

On DBC cars, there is a chip soldered to the board. Just open up your ECU and look.

actually hoss, apr's chip says "apr" right on it, and giac's usually have the software code written on it

I took a TSXtoo, but that would never have happened before i got chipped.
