i heard that the bmw engines last along time like up to 300,000 miles, are audi's the same way ? I found a 1.8t A4 i wanted to buy but it has 115,000 miles wasnt sure if thats alot of miles for an audi

 

It's fine as long as it has been taking care of. Make sure the timing belt has been changed. What engine does it have?

 

Oh - 1.8t. Sorry. The 1.8t engine is not quite as reliable as the 2.8 but still a very good engine.

 

it had the timing belt replaced how long do you think the engine will last if it was and still will be taken car of good ? because i wanna keep the car for awhile

 

I'm still kind of new to the audi scene, but if you plan on performance mods, definitely go with the 1.8t over the 2.8. The difference in aftermarket available for the two is uncomparable.

 

The 1.8t is a very well designed engine, they can easily see 200k miles if looked after. The only problems will come from improper servicing and abuse. The turbo is a light pressure unit so doesn't wear like most high boost turbos do, mine has 120k miles and the turbo is barely worn.
