Hi, I'm looking into buying a 2008/2009 Audi A4. I currently own a 2001 A6 2.7T so I already know how much it costs to fix, and how difficult it is to do it yourself.

The 2008 Audi A4 can cost about $12,000 and the 2009 can cost about $16,000. I was wondering if there was a big enough difference, if any difference at all, to make the car worth that extra $4000. Is either more or less reliable, gas efficient, more powerful. Please let me know! Thank you

 

I am not aware of any major changes between those two years. They are different as the 2008 is a B7 and the 2009 is a B8. I went to Carsdirect and compared the two. The 2009 has a higher horsepower rating and fuel economy is lightly better. Not sure if those two items make it $4k better. You would need to compare the cars you decide to consider and options could be different. I always suggest getting as new as you can (unless you perfer the older body style).
