i dunno, i have a fwd and i like it... but then again i've never driven the quattro and i live in so cal so, weather is usually on my side.

agreed but quattro makes a differenc in rain as well as dry pavement. Its not just helpful in snow.

My opinion is to wait for quattro, but if you live in a dry warm state and never see rain or snow then fwd will do you just fine.
