Default coolant temp conector

hi im rual. today i was just about to change my coolant temp sensor for the first time. my cars a audi a4 2002 b6 tdi engine. when i eventualy got the sensor out. it turn to be a 2 pin conecter on a black 2 pin sensor. so the part i got which was the green sensor part no 059.919.501a. is a 4 pin conecter , and is too big for the car conecter. i calld audi and they said it should be 4 pin, if so then why is mine 2 pin and can i get a 2 pin temp sensor . im sure i got the temp sensor plug coz it had the clip and o ring inside, so im definete my cars got the 2 pin conecter. please tell me what to do, im confused

Have you called the dealer yet to tell them they got you the wrong one? There are like 3 types. Black, green and blue. Go get your money back and have them order the right one.
