Thanks for the offer Iokepa, we are in the OC. I think we're going to with APR ECU chip.

In all reality the fastest cars in the world are autos. But in everyday auto trans, a manaul is going to have the edge. The fastest supras that run 9s are autos.

i have an auto and every ones like it cant handle the GIAC chip...wtf?
if you have a TIP auto you're fine...if you have a CVT auto, you don't want to chip it....but you can get the giac chip designed specifically for the CVT tranny with half the torque of the regular chip...for the same price

if you're really set on APR, then i suggest going to Ingolstadt West in Canoga Park (San Fernando Valley)

me personally, i highly recommend the GIAC programming, especially with all the different programs they have to offer -- pump, stock, valet, kill and possibly race, and also cause the flashloader is cool. Torque Factory in West LA is the best GIAC dealer in SoCal.

Ive got a 97 Auto A4 (pre-tip) and was curious if there are chips available for the non-tiptronic auto trannies

Thanks. I did check there, but I havent looked at the part number on the ECU yet, so I wasnt sure if those were all manuals or what.
