took it to the dealer, seems like its water dripping into the fuse box, making it nutty. guess i'll know in a couple hours...

 

I'd be interested in how the water got into the fuse box. Maybe there are some blockages where water normally drains?

 

ok got a call from the dealer... there was some wiring from the headlight control to the instrument cluster. he says it looks like 4 gauge wiring, and apparently is not Audi work. asking me 650 to take the whole dash apart and fig out whats going on... any ideas?? i bought the car used 10 months ago from an acura dealer and its possible the previous owner had some aftermarket stuff installed. then again i'm hoping the dealer isn't trying to use this as an excuse to void the CPO warranty on the car. this sucks...
